The A-list: Nadia Boujarwah

Nadia Boujarwah, CEO and Co-founder of the plus-sized ecommerce retailer Dia Co., is on a mission to promote radical self-love through style. In honor of the Altuzarra x Dia Co. capsule, we chatted with Nadia about what inspires her, experimenting with style, and the importance of finding a good pair of jeans

1. What inspired you to co-found Dia&Co?

Throughout my life I have been everything from a size 12 to a size 22 and I started to notice that no matter my size, I could never find anything for me. I knew it shouldn’t be this hard to find trendy clothing that fit me, so I co-founded Dia & Co. I wanted to embrace women like me to embrace their individuality and bring the joy back to shopping.

2. In your opinion, what are some key fashion essentials that every woman should have in her wardrobe?

A good pair of denim is so important! Everyone deserves a pair of jeans that fit and makes you look and feel like a million bucks. Our Molly & Isadora jeans have sold over one million pairs and they are my favorites!

I also love a solid-color set, like the Minamoto skirt/sweater set from Altuzarra. It’s so versatile and made with a beautiful seasonless cashmere. I love that I can wear it together, or I can make multiple other outfits with the two pieces.

3. Can you share any tips or advice for women who are looking to experiment with their personal style and step out of their comfort zones when it comes to fashion?

You have to just do it! You can start small - try a bold pattern, put 1 new style in your cart to begin. It’s so easy to stay in your comfort zone, but fashion is the best way for us to express ourselves and there’s no reason everyone shouldn’t be able to do that! 4. Looking towards the future, what exciting developments or expansions can Dia&Co customers look forward to?

5. What is your favorite piece from the Altuzarra capsule for Dia&Co and how do you style it?

My favorite piece is the Minamoto skirt/sweater set! I love the light sweater with a pair of jeans or a skirt. It’s so easy to dress up or keep casual, depending on the shoes and accessories!
